Medical Information

There are six Government Hospitals and 10 Mission Hospitals mostly owned by the Catholic Church in the Region. Also operating are nine private clinics and numerous health Post and Rural Clinics can be found all over the communities.

Government Hospitals
The Government Hospitals are located in Sunyani, Bechem, Goaso, Kintampo, Atebubu and Sampa.

Mission Hospitals
The notable ones are the Holy Family Hospital in Techiman and Berekum. The St. John of God Hospital at Duayaw Nkwanta, St Theresa’s Hospital at Hwidiem and Nkoranza. Others are St. Mary’s Hospital in Drobo, St. Mathia’s Hospital at Yeji and the Methodist Hospital at Wenchi. The rest are Ahmadiya hospital Hospital at Techiman and the Presbyterian Hospital at Dormaa.
